Kirk Honeycutt spent twenty years at The Hollywood Reporter, first as a senior film reporter, then at its chief film critic. Since leaving the publication in 2011, he is teaching film courses at Chapman University’s Dodge College of Film and Media Arts and at UCLA Extension. He recently launched his own film reviews website, honeycuttshollywood.com. His book "John Hughes A Life in Film" was published by Race Point Publishing March 25, 2015.
He has covered such major international film festivals such as Sundance, Cannes, Berlin, Busan, Montreal, Mill Valley and Toronto and served on juries at festivals in Athens, Greece as well as Hawaii, Napa and Sonoma.
A member of the prestigious Los Angeles Film Critics Association for over 30 years, he previously reviewed film for the Daily News of Los Angeles. He appears regularly on television and radio shows around the world including Access Hollywood, Starz TV, NBC News and Entertainment Tonight.
