HJ Park is the Arts & Entertainment columnist and movie critic of the Korea Times in Los Angeles. He’s been a member of the LAFCA since 1998. He’s also a member of the HFPA. Since coming to the U.S. to join the Korea Times, a subsidiary of a large national Korean newspaper, HJ started its Arts and Entertainment section becoming its editor and critic since 1981. The paper has the biggest circulation among Koreans in the United States.
His reviews have been syndicated to the Korea Times in NY, Chicago, D.C., San Francisco, Seattle, Atlanta, Houston, Denver, Hawaii and Toronto. HJ also has his own radio show, reviewing movies on Radio Seoul (1650 AM) on Sunday mornings from 10am to 11am. In 1993 he wrote and published the book, “The World of Cinema” in Korea. Park is also responsible for selecting the in-flight movies on Korean Air and writing movie stories in its magazine for the past 16 years.
