Los Angeles, Dec. 7, 2025 – The Los Angeles Film Critics Association (LAFCA) has named “One Battle After Another” as Best Picture of the Year, it was announced today by Robert Abele, president of LAFCA.

“It’s been a stunning year for movies of all kinds, and we’re thrilled to have a group of winners that reflect that breadth of cinematic artistry and perspective,” Abele said. “When we gather at the historic Millennium Biltmore on Jan. 10, 2026, for our banquet, it'll be an honor to celebrate these wonderful films and filmmakers.”

As previously announced, LAFCA has chosen filmmaker Philip Kaufman as the recipient of this year’s Career Achievement Award.
